Hoshea, Hananiah, Hasshub,
King Shalmaneser of Assyria threatened 1 him; Hoshea became his subject and paid him tribute.
Hoshea son of Azaziah led the Ephraimites, Joel son of Pedaiah led the half-tribe of Manasseh,
Protect me, 1 for I am loyal! O my God, deliver your servant, who trusts in you!
Hoshea son of Elah conspired against Pekah son of Remaliah. He assassinated him 1 and took his place as king, in the twentieth year of the reign of Jotham son of Uzziah.
In the twelfth year of King Ahaz’s reign over Judah, Hoshea son of Elah became king over Israel. He reigned in Samaria 1 for nine years.
