The Lord will reign forever and ever!
But you, O Lord, reign 1 forever!
Give thanks to the Lord of lords, for his loyal love endures,
As for me, I will continually tell what you have done; 1 I will sing praises to the God of Jacob!
For I raise up my hand to heaven, and say, ‘As surely as I live forever,
But if I say to the boy, “Look, the arrows are on the other side of you,’ 1 get away. For in that case the Lord has sent you away.

If only it would really be their desire to fear me and obey 1 all my commandments in the future, so that it may go well with them and their descendants forever.
Then I will allow your dynasty to rule over Israel permanently, 1 just as I promised your father David, ‘You will not fail to have a successor on the throne of Israel.’ 2
May the Lord your God be praised because he favored 1 you by placing you on the throne of Israel! Because of the Lord’s eternal love for Israel, he made you king so you could make just and right decisions.” 2
