For they were in three stories and had no pillars like the pillars of the courts; therefore the upper chambers 1 were set back from the ground more than the lower and upper ones.
Esau exclaimed, “‘Jacob’ is the right name for him! 1 He has tripped me up 2 two times! He took away my birthright, and now, look, he has taken away my blessing!” Then he asked, “Have you not kept back a blessing for me?”
Then I will come down and speak with you there, and I will take part of the spirit that is on you, and will put it on them, and they will bear some of the burden of the people with you, so that you do not bear it 1 all by yourself.
And the Lord came down in the cloud and spoke to them, and he took some of the Spirit that was on Moses 1 and put it on the seventy elders. When the Spirit rested on them, 2 they prophesied, 3 but did not do so again. 4
I did not restrain myself from getting whatever I wanted; 1 I did not deny myself anything that would bring me pleasure. 2 So all my accomplishments gave me joy; 3 this was my reward for all my effort. 4
