The person who sins is the one who will die. A son will not suffer 1 for his father’s iniquity, and a father will not suffer 2 for his son’s iniquity; the righteous person will be judged according to his righteousness, and the wicked person according to his wickedness. 3
It will be the duty of the prince to provide the burnt offerings, the grain offering, and the drink offering at festivals, on the new moons and Sabbaths, at all the appointed feasts of the house of Israel; he will provide the sin offering, the grain offering, the burnt offering, and the peace offerings to make atonement for the house of Israel.
He said to me, “This is the place where the priests will boil the guilt offering and the sin offering, and where they will bake the grain offering, so that they do not bring them out to the outer court to transmit holiness to the people.”
