Then in a night vision the mystery was revealed to Daniel. So Daniel praised
And at Daniel’s request, the king
So a decree went out, and the wise men were about
So Daniel was brought in before the king. The king said to Daniel, “Are you that Daniel who is one of the captives of Judah, whom my father the king brought from Judah?
As he approached the den, he called out to Daniel in a worried voice,
So Daniel went in and
Then Daniel went to his home and informed his friends Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah of the matter.
Then those officials who had gone to the king
Then Daniel spoke to
So this Daniel prospered during the reign of Darius and
“As for me, Daniel, my spirit was distressed,
Thus there was found in this man Daniel, whom the king renamed Belteshazzar, an extraordinary spirit, knowledge, and skill to interpret
So the king gave the order,
Then the king was delighted and gave an order to haul Daniel up from the den. So Daniel was hauled up out of the den. He had no injury of any kind, because he had trusted in his God.
Then Daniel spoke with prudent counsel
He inquired of Arioch the king’s deputy, “Why is the decree from the king so urgent?”
He asked them to pray for mercy from the God of heaven concerning this mystery so that he
The king then asked Daniel (whose name was also Belteshazzar), “Are you able to make known to me the dream that I saw, as well as its interpretation?”
Daniel replied to the king, “The mystery that the king is asking about is such that no wise men, astrologers, magicians, or diviners can possibly disclose it to the king.
