As they got out of the boat, people immediately recognized Jesus. 1
and on the third day they threw the ship’s gear 1 overboard with their own hands.
Just as Jesus 1 was getting out of the boat, a man with an unclean spirit 2 came from the tombs and met him. 3
When the ship was caught in it 1 and could not head into 2 the wind, we gave way to it and were driven 3 along.
And now I advise 1 you to keep up your courage, for there will be no loss of life among you, but only the ship will be lost. 2
So he said, “Come.” Peter got out of the boat, walked on the water, and came toward Jesus.
Then, when they had rowed about three or four miles, 1 they caught sight of Jesus walking on the lake, 2 approaching the boat, and they were frightened.
Then when the sailors tried to escape from the ship and were lowering the ship’s boat into the sea, pretending 1 that they were going to put out anchors from the bow,
and the rest were to follow, 1 some on planks 2 and some on pieces of the ship. 3 And in this way 4 all were brought safely to land.
He got into 1 one of the boats, which was Simon’s, and asked him to put out a little way from the shore. Then 2 Jesus 3 sat down 4 and taught the crowds from the boat.
He told them, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some.” 1 So they threw the net, 2 and were not able to pull it in because of the large number of fish.
“Men, I can see the voyage is going to end 1 in disaster 2 and great loss not only of the cargo and the ship, but also of our lives.” 3
