sexually immoral people, practicing homosexuals, 1 kidnappers, liars, perjurers – in fact, for any who live contrary to sound teaching.
“If a man divorces his wife and she leaves him and becomes another man’s wife, he may not take her back again. 1 Doing that would utterly defile the land. 2 But you, Israel, have given yourself as a prostitute to many gods. 3 So what makes you think you can return to me?” 4 says the Lord.
So you must keep the Sabbath, for it is holy for you. Everyone who defiles it 1 must surely be put to death; indeed, 2 if anyone does 3 any 4 work on it, then that person will be cut off from among his 5 people.
Or when there is 1 a person who touches anything ceremonially 2 unclean, whether the carcass of an unclean wild animal, or the carcass of an unclean domesticated animal, or the carcass of an unclean creeping thing, even if he did not realize it, 3 but he himself has become unclean and is guilty; 4

One who eats from its carcass must wash his clothes and be unclean until the evening, and whoever carries its carcass must wash his clothes and be unclean until the evening.
So 1 he is to make atonement for the holy place from the impurities of the Israelites and from their transgressions with regard to all their sins, 2 and thus he is to do for the Meeting Tent which resides with them in the midst of their impurities.

Josiah also removed all the shrines on the high places in the cities of Samaria. The kings of Israel had made them and angered the Lord. 1 He did to them what he had done to the high place in Bethel. 2
