Asa the father of Jehoshaphat, Jehoshaphat the father of Joram, Joram the father of Uzziah,
He joined Ahab’s son Joram in a battle against King Hazael of Syria at Ramoth Gilead in which the Syrians defeated Joram.
Ahaziah had become king over Judah in the eleventh year of Joram son of Ahab.

Then Jehu son of Jehoshaphat son of Nimshi conspired against Joram.Now Joram had been in Ramoth Gilead with the whole Israelite army, 1 guarding against an invasion by King Hazael of Syria.
In the fifth year of the reign of Israel’s King Joram, son of Ahab, Jehoshaphat’s son Jehoram became king over Judah. 1
In the twelfth year of the reign of Israel’s King Joram, son of Ahab, Jehoram’s son Ahaziah became king over Judah.

King Joram returned to Jezreel to recover from the wounds he received from the Syrians 1 in Ramah when he fought against King Hazael of Syria. King Ahaziah son of Jehoram of Judah went down to visit 2 Joram son of Ahab in Jezreel, for he was ill.
Jehoram ordered, “Hitch up my chariot.” 1 When his chariot had been hitched up, 2 King Jehoram of Israel and King Ahaziah of Judah went out in their respective chariots 3 to meet Jehu. They met up with him 4 in the plot of land that had once belonged to Naboth of Jezreel.
His relatives through Eliezer included: Rehabiah his son, Jeshaiah his son, Joram his son, Zikri his son, and Shelomith 1 his son.
he 1 sent his son Joram 2 to King David to extend his best wishes 3 and to pronounce a blessing on him for his victory over Hadadezer, for Toi had been at war with Hadadezer. 4 He brought with him various items made of silver, gold, and bronze. 5
God brought about Ahaziah’s downfall through his visit to Joram. 1 When Ahaziah 2 arrived, he went out with Joram to meet Jehu son of Nimshi, whom the Lord had commissioned 3 to wipe out Ahab’s family. 4
Now the watchman was standing on the tower in Jezreel and saw Jehu’s troops approaching. 1 He said, “I see troops!” 2 Jehoram ordered, 3 “Send a rider out to meet them and have him ask, ‘Is everything all right?’” 4
When Jehoram saw Jehu, he asked, “Is everything all right, Jehu?” He replied, “How can everything be all right as long as your mother Jezebel promotes idolatry and pagan practices?” 1
Joram passed away 1 and was buried with his ancestors in the city of David. His son Ahaziah replaced him as king.
But King Joram had returned to Jezreel to recover from the wounds he received from the Syrians 1 when he fought against King Hazael of Syria. 2 Jehu told his supporters, 3 “If you really want me to be king, 4 then don’t let anyone escape from the city to go and warn Jezreel.”
