So they took all their troops and went to fight against Ishmael son of Nethaniah. They caught up with him near the large pool 1 at Gibeon.
So Joab and Abishai chased Abner. At sunset they came to the hill of Ammah near Giah on the way to the wilderness of Gibeon.
David did just as the Lord commanded him, and he struck down the Philistines from Gibeon all the way to Gezer. 1
All Jerusalem was terrified 1 because Gibeon was a large city, like one of the royal cities. It was larger than Ai and all its men were warriors.
