Psalms 22:23

Context

22:23 You loyal followers of the Lord, 1  praise him!

All you descendants of Jacob, honor him!

All you descendants of Israel, stand in awe of him! 2 

Psalms 22:26

22:26 Let the oppressed eat and be filled! 3 

Let those who seek his help praise the Lord!

2 tn Heb “fear him.”

3 sn Eat and be filled. In addition to praising the Lord, the psalmist also offers a thank offering to the Lord and invites others to share in a communal meal.

4 tn Heb “may your heart[s].”

5 tn Heb “assembly, company.”

6 tn Heb “sit.” The psalmist uses the imperfect form of the verb to emphasize that he does not make a practice of associating with such people.

7 sn The great assembly is also mentioned in Ps 22:25.

8 tn Heb “among numerous people.”

9 tn Heb “your justice I have not hidden in the midst of my heart.”

10 tn Heb “I have not hidden your loyal love and reliability.”
