1 tn Heb “How happy are your men! How happy are these servants of yours, who stand before you continually, who hear your wisdom!”

2 tn Heb “He rejected the advice of the elders which they advised and he consulted the young men with whom he had grown up, who stood before him.” The referent (Rehoboam) of the initial pronoun (“he”) has been specified in the translation for clarity.

3 tn Heb “before whom I stand.”

4 tn Heb “except at the command of my word.”
